Nuclear Power

Tony Blair has recently said that in order to provide the energy we need for the future, we will build more nuclear power plants. There is lots going for nuclear power especially in reducing the amount of carbon dioxide (green house gases) that is released into the atmosphere. But do the safety worries outweigh that? Should we be doing more to promote "renewable sources" like solar power, wind and others?
